Since when did GAME get so expensive?

This is the money a store will give you for your games. So 'expensive' in this list is a good thing! ;-)

GAME is offering more for Infamous 2 than I paid for it.

    What about PC?

I don't think these stores accept PC trade ins, for DRM and serial key reasons.

Just so you know, EB is giving you 50% more trade in value if you trade in games towards a preorder. The dude also said it'll work with a Edge Card, so you can potentially trade it in for a 65% increase.

Just something people should be aware of :)

My local GAME matches and beats that, and they'll do three preorders for $20 (split evenly; 7-7-6). Also, they're not EBGames, so win-win.

Meh. I bet your GAME doesn't have a hot blonde girl working at it like my EBGames does.

Where is your EBGames? And what is this hot blonde's name? :P

My local GAME store does. Tab at GAME Southland is smoking hot. All the staff there are super cool also

EB Canning Vale ditched the dumb ass boys they opened with and now has a roster of all girls -all good looking, knowledgable and all offering calm, helpful, service without the pressure selling of every other EB I ever walked into. They seem to be slowly getting busier too.

Yah 3 pre-orders for $20 is pretty good if you're looking forward to a few games, secures them quickly and cheaply ! I am glad some people prefer Game to EB, is it because we don't have moldy carpet in our stores ? :P

Trading in your games for a small amount of money so the retailer can charge other customers full price (sometimes more then brand new prices) should not be promoted.

Sure you can a good deal buying second hand but it's just lining the pockets of the wrong people while gamers get fucked over.

There really should be some percentage paid to the developers. Do you think this will ever happen?

There is a valid argument for whether devleopers should get more money for re-sales, but saying that trad-ins should not be promoted is a bit short sighted. If it wasn't for trade-ins, myself (and many others), would not be able to play half the games we do. I rely heavily on trade-ins so I can continue to play new games. As someone with a home loan, car loan, bills and plenty of other expenses, I am thankful I can trade old games that I have no interest in playing again allowingme to play something new.

      Why should they?

Do authors and publishers see anything from second hand book sales?

Do car manufacturers see anything from second hand car sales?

Do movie distributors and producers see anything from second hand DVD sales?

What makes the games industry so different from any other industry with second hand goods?

The DNF trade price is wrong

they are running a trade in deal at the mo

    price currently is $70

It's worth taking in that voucher, the guy tried everything he could not to offer that trade deal when I went in recently. I brought it up on my phone and he said he'd do it, but not give the extra for EDGE, so I zoomed in and showed the fine print.
I think these are coming in fast at EB!!

There is no GAME store nearby me :'(

    Wii Fit (Wii)
    GAME: $32
    EB: $30
    JB Hifi: $9

Woah woah woah.. is that with or without the board at EB?

Because if it's without i think i might pick up a few copies online and make my pre-order for space marine much much cheaper :P

Hey man, that price is for the board and the original software (not Wii Fit Plus). Its unbelievable that JB hifi are only giving $9 for it.

      For Shame!!!!!

Hey does anyone know the going rate for an L.A. Noire trade?

$62 at game at the mo but it may change the more they get in
