Castlevania: Harmony Of Despair Comes To PSN

Konami’s unusual cooperative multiplayer Castlevania game released last winter on the Xbox 360 is now coming to the PlayStation 3. Your patience for multiplayer Dracula whipping has paid off, PS3 owners, for your version of Castlevania: Harmony of Despair sounds superior.

The PlayStation Network release of the (pretty decent) Castlevania: Harmony of Despair will come complete with a new, local four-player cooperative mode in addition to the six-player online cooperative mode. Konami’s also throwing in the “Beauty, Desire, Situation Dire” map pack and characters Julius Belmont and Yoko Belnades.

Castlevania: Harmony of Despair is, if nothing else, a fascinating experiment from the Castlevania team, good for some enjoyable grinding with friends. Konami didn’t offer a date or price, but expect it relatively soon, maybe after the one-year anniversary of the XBLA release, give or take.
