Resident Evil 4 And Code: Veronica HD Remakes Get Dated

The downloadable HD remakes of Resident Evil 4 and Code: Veronica X look even better once you know that they're coming to Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network in North America and Europe in September for 20 bucks a pop.

I suppose it's too late for you to look at the latest screenshots and gameplay videos of the two titles before you knew that Resident Evil 4 was coming on September 20 and Code: Veronica X was following a week later on the 27 for 1600 Microsoft points or $US19.99 PlayStation real monies(tm), so you'll just have to take my word for it. I wouldn't lie to you. Not unless I was trying to find a clever way to frame a release date, pricing information, and a batch of new assets.

For digital, the price is too high, but I will be waiting to see if CAPCOM put any dodgy DRM into the PS3 version before anything.

I think the price is perfectly reasonable. Any word on Australian dates? Really hope the Silent Hill collection reaches xbox too!

AU dates should be the same... in AU terms, those prices will be closer to $30 and not $20.

If it actually was $20, then it would be better.

Kotaku should write an article about the feud between Konami and the issues with some of the voice actors from SH2/3. Seems like Konami is just putting the HD collection out for money and isn't making an effort to keep original voice actors.

This video on the subject is pretty interesting

and a week later they'll release a multiplayer patch for 10 bucks!
