Watch EVO 2011 Go Down From The Comfort Of Your Couch

The world's biggest, baddest fighting game tournament, EVO 2011, is fast approaching (it's this weekend!), and if you can get there and see it in person, that's awesome. If you can't, that's OK! You can still watch it from home.

First things first, if you're at a PC or are packing a laptop, you can watch on the tournament's official site, which will be streaming all weekend long. There are even two streams to choose from if you can't decide what you'd rather be watching.

If for some reason you'd prefer to watch a Sony broadcast of events, they'll also be streaming stuff, albeit from within PlayStation Home, where free stuff for your Home avatars will be handed out.

EVO begins on July 29 and runs all weekend long at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

I know you guys don't follow competitive E-Sports, but there's a QLD lad called Tom, who was the highest ranking Australian MvC3 player at Shadowloo Showdown giving it a shot. He was only just beaten by Mago and has a real chance.

Heck the community believes in him so much they even grouped together and helped fund getting him the states to play. Would be nice to follow him or at least do a piece on his efforts post event. He's entered the tourney as NefariousG and is in pool 23.

Do you have an email contact? Would love to maybe speak to him or interview him.

      Goodluck to Tom.

A bunch of Melbourne players are heading up too for SSFIV and MvC3.

He's got tough competition though. Mago isn't considered a very good MvC3 player. The Americans are nuts about the game though...

Hope he has practiced ... A LOT!

Looking forward to some great games of SSFIV:AE - I hope there's an Ibuki player in there somewhere!
