  • What an odd selection of titles. Who really wants to know how much ME2 and Homefront cost these days…? Wouldn’t it be better to have more recent releases like Red Faction and Shadows of the Damned?

  • I saw Duke Nukem at the Galeries Victoria JB Hi-fi for $66 today on the Xbox 360. Can’t comment for sure if that’s for PS3 as well, I just happened to notice the 360 version display on my way to picking up Shadows of the Damned. (Which, sadly, is $99).

  • I think that it’s finally nice to see some intiative taken from GAME too have some seriously competitive prices against the competitors and department stores. I realize most people shop online for there games but it’s really nice too see some of the best pricing around from the smallest competitor in the field.

  • EB prices do crack me up…need to start showing some online prices too just to see how out of whack these are…

  • I like these but what would be great is a list of all the common good games and all the places that sell them with their cost including digital download. You then could then give a winner for each game and an overall best place to buy.
It would point people to the best businesses and reward them for supporting their coustomers.

  • InFamous 2. . .

I almost was able to get it for $30 bucks this week. . .

Stupid Dick Smith, its not my fault you put $30 sticker on the wrong InFamous game. . . 4 times

    • by law they should have given it to u for $30. its called false advertising if they didn’t and u can take them to consumer affairs!

      • sorry buddy that’s also incorrect, the retailer reserves the right to withdraw any item of sale at any given time without prior notice, you can take it up with the fair trade but you have to understand that the trade act is there to protect not only the consumer but also the retailer.

      • Not quite, by law a price sticker on a game is what’s known as an invitation to treat. It’s an invitation to make an offer, not a contract. You’re only entitled to it at that price if it can be proven the store was using it to bait customers.

        • Cal is correct, a price tag does not need to be honored.

Advertisments on the other hand should be honored or you can get them for false advertising etc.

  • Hey Sam, this regular weekly article is about the current store prices in Australia. It is not online prices anywhere. Why don’t you make one up instead of posting useless comments?

  • Look, I’m really sorry, but this is now the 4th week in a row that you guys have incorrectly priced Duke Nukem Forever from EB Games. It’s even been pointed out again and again if you look at the comments in previous posts.

Just saying, I don’t know where you are getting your prices from, but they arn’t keeping up to date… Makes me wonder how many of these other prices are incorrect… Also, I don’t think that many of these games are relevant anymore… Maybe a list on upcoming games and preorder offers might be more suitable, as well as New Release games (as in 2 weeks old) might be more applicable to this section.

@Ruen – Mate, that’s pretty lame of Dick Smith. It’s the price that was labled on it. I really hope you take it further. I would 🙂 Good luck with it.

    • Unfortunately I can’t, at the time the thought never occured to me to take a photo of the games on my phone so i had proof the games were labelled that way, so right now all I have is hearsay, which isn’t going to take me very far. . .

      • I feel sorry for you if you ever make a human error and some one tries to milk you for it…. Can’t believe these kinda of attitude sometimes. Sorry to hear you didn’t get what you want, however I’m also glad they didn’t yield to you either 🙂

  • Eb games is currently selling Black Ops for $68 new.
Same with Halo Reach, Bulletstorm, Brink and a few others.

  • I got Mass Effect 2 for PS# @ $28 & very happy – Great Game & Great price for something relativly new.

Also happy with Dirt 3 for USD45 a month ago – Now that was trip to a ‘Bricks & Mortar’ store – Frys Electronics, as big as most Bunnings & in Oregon so no state sales tax. Got 9 games for $312 so have the worst pile of shame until Christmas – HoHum
