Your Next Soulcalibur V Opponent Could Be Your Own Creation

Namco Bandai welcomes us back to the stage of history in Soulcalibur V next year, and the developer needs your help creating custom non-player characters to spar with in between the big-name battles. It’s time to give names to the nameless hordes.

When you aren’t fighting characters with cool, professionally crafted names like Patroklos Alexandra in Soulcalibur V, you’ll be going toe-to-toe with an endless array of computer-controlled foes. Seeking to take a little of the generic out of these generic opponents, Namco Bandai has launched the Soulcalibur V character naming promotion, in which they get you to do their work in exchange for the chance to tell other people you did their work!

Sound fun? All you need to do to enter is head over to the promotion webpage, enter a name other than your own, choose a fighting style, and fill out a brief questionnaire that rounds out your character’s creation.

If your character is picked, it’ll show up in the game when it ships for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 next. If not, everyone gets a free desktop wallpaper, so it’s not a total loss.

Keep in mind you Namco Bandai instructs participants not to use their own name, so use mine instead.
