Our video game November gets more crowded today with the release date(s) of Snowblind’s The Lord of the Rings: War in the North. The PS3, Xbox 360 and Games for Windows RPG hits November 1 in North America, November 2 in Australia and November 4 in Europe.

After hearing that this is the spiritual sucessor to Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance, I am very excited for this game.

But! Releasing in November is a fairly stupid move. BF3 and Arkham City will have been out for only a few weeks, then November will swamp us with Uncharted 3, Skyrim, AC revelations, that’s almost a AAA blockbuster each week for a period of about 5-6 weeks. They should release this earlier or next year so that people can, y’know, afford to buy this game. I suppose there will also be Steam Holiday Sales as well. Yeah. This year isn’t exactly the best idea to release it.

Blackhawks!
Not the smartest move indeed. So far I’ve got skyrim, saints 3, MW3, AC and NFS in my sights for november. Maybe next year…although this does look good.

It’s got the LOTR name on it, so it can probably hold its own even during the busy time of year.
