Trading Places

This is Trading Places, where we collate the trade in deals currently available at the big three specialist games retailers in the country. If you have games to trade and you want to get the best deal possible, this is a pretty good place to start.

But first, a quick disclaimer – these trade-in prices will change from day to day.

EDIT: Both GAME and EB have a trade-in deal where, if you trade towards any kind of pre-order, you get extra trade value. Currently EB are offering a 50% bump on all available trades, and GAME is offering a slightly increased 55%.

Dammit, I thought Pokemon Black was SELLING for $30

Yeah, me too. I should read the bloody title...*Slow learner clap* (I'm offensive!)

haha I almost ran out the door now thinking the same thing ;-)

I traded in Brink (360), bought it on ebay for $28, traded it after I finished it on a pre-order @ game and got $54 bucks trade-in.

And the PC game prices are...? Oh yeah, Steam, Direct2Drive etc. have them covered.

This is talking about trading games in, not selling games (and no one trades PC games at all).

Pro tip for traders lucky enough to have Game and Eb nearby.

A mate of mine asked his local Eb why he should trade in with them (for their 50%) when he could go to Game (for their 55%). In response Eb up'd their trade in value to 65% for him. Not bad eh?

From what I know, 65% is what they give to people with their special trade in card anyway. But it's still not a bad deal, because I think that costs money...

*65% is what they currently give (while they still have that bonus 50%). The card itself gives 15%

Yea but it's 65% on the lower trade value to start with. Also GAME match trade prices so in the end they always win

does GAME take trades of online bought games, ie UK versions like from ozgameshop?

They do take foreign trades but it is up to the manager's discretion.
