   Speaking of prices, how about that laughable charge of $100 USD for Modern Warfare 3 on Steam?

            Yeah CoD4 has been 100 for ages, I picked up my copy way back when for like $50 in QL. So maybe its just NSW still being over charged

      Youd have to be stupid to buy it at that price. Even at retail it sells for $88 at places like Big W.

   The JB Hifi price for GTA4 that is listed above is for the Complete Edition (with add-ons included).
   Standard edition is only $29.

      For the last few weeks K-Mart has had the standard edition of Bayonetta for $20, or you can get the special edition for $26.

      We’re talking about 8 games only here. The most expensive game at EB on that list is $43, but I’m willing to bet if you want to buy a game that isn’t on that list it’ll be $109 at EB and significantly less at JB.

      I can’t comment on Game, because there isn’t a store anywhere near my home or work. Wish there was.

   I remember getting Quantum Theory back in December for $10 at K-Mart. Crap game, but was worth it for trade in value.

    I know it appears GAME are cheaper, but do you really want to put up with people pushing you for a membership, GAMEware accessories, other games you ‘might’like, the play guide to a totally different game, a WoW time card, scratch protection and lastly the stupid junk they keep in the baskets at the front (cruddy Mario keychains and top trump cards…whoo?).

    I know it’s not the staff’s fault, they have KPIs so they kinda have to be pushy. But personally, when i walk into a store and they are all up in my face, I just turn around and walk out.
    I’m not socially awkward or anything, i just hate being pestered.

       There’s a yes and no to this… The fact is, almost every company has it’s KPI’s and agendas to push. The art is choosing what to push to what customer. Because you’ll find *IME* about 70% if you mention the right add-on, most customer will at least enquire what you’re offering them.

       Some people though have no tact whatsoever and end up offering cheap 3rd party wii motes to a customer who just bought COD MW2 for PS3….

       I dunno TRed, you sound pretty socially awkward. Either that you’re a big whiney baby. If it cheaper, its cheaper. Just buy it and say no to the add-ons, simple. No need to be a giant drama llama about it and walk out like they offended you by pointing out you came wearing the same frock as your mum.

          Lalz what’s with the insults? As long as we’re slinging mud; why don’t you just marry GAME If you love it so much.
          It’s not like I don’t shop there, I bought my 3DS there because it was cheaper.
          But after an in-depth convo with the dude who sold it about the ridiculous amount of hours I spent on Ocarina of Time as a kid; he tried to sell me the play guide, I’m like “dude did you list to anything I said”
          Truth is I may have been a little melodramatic in my first comment, I wouldn’t walk out if some one approached me in store to suggest something or have a chat about new releases or preorders, it’s when they bug you non stop that they lose my sale, GAME just seem to be the worst for it. EB are at the opposite end of the scale, they have gotten a tad sloppy (in Canberra anyway) I haven’t even been asked if I want scratch protection in years. And JB are just going insane, they’re the loose cannon, you don’t know what they’re going to do next; lower prices, higher prices, magic tricks?
