Aussie Nintendo Store – Vektoring in Mario and Zelda

Every so often, the stars and the planets align and we get a killer weekend of updates, usually we’re not so lucky. This week though, what a killer. There’s a free Zelda, a classic Mario title and a brand new WiiWare title from the fine folks at Nnooo. There’s even some 3D trailers up on the eShop as well.

3DS Virtual Console
Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins (Game Boy, Nintendo, $6.00) Mario’s back on the Virtual Console and this time it’s actually worth you money. You see while Super Mario Land is an alright game, Super Mario Land 2 is actually a kick-ass one. For those wondering as well, Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land is on the way as well!

DSiWare
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition (Nintendo – FREE) Alright sue me, this one came out on Wednesday but because Nintendo have done such a bad job of letting everyone know about it, you might have missed the news. If only Nintendo had some way of letting 3DS owners know about free versions of Zelda? Get into it folks. This one works on the DSi and 3DS naturally.

WiiWare
escapeVektor: Chapter 1 (Nnooo – 500pts) From the fine folks at Nnooo comes their latest title, you’ll need all your wits to escape from your Wii’s CPU. Yup, the main enemy is the little central processing unit in your Wii. Well it’s not really, because if the Wii was to turn evil and try and kill you, I’d imagine it would be more Ninja like. It is Japanese after all. [Mark note: this game is pretty awesome]

There are now some new 3D trailers up on the eShop for Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, Luigi’s Mansion 2, Paper Mario, Mario Tennis, Kid Icarus and Animal Crossing.
