Buy Warhammer 40K Stuff, It's For A Good Cause

The Brian Wood Memorial Trust, set up to assist the family of a Relic developer killed tragically in a car accident last year, is raising funds this month with some great Warhammer 40K swag.

With the studio having just wrapped up work on Space Marine, they're auctioning off a range of memorabilia that includes signed copies of the game, consoles, shirts, giant posters and more.

The proceeds raised will go to a memorial for Wood, which will be in the form of a park bench in North Vancouver, which is where his wife and daughter live.

You can see the items up for grabs at the link below.

Wow, a relic developer killed a familly last year? Must be all those violent video games.

HOLY SHIT. might want to fix that slightly HUGE (and libelous) error there guys... Pretty disrespectful :( especially given how he turned the car to take the impact and save his family...

Amazing the difference one little 'of' can make.

One word that makes it sound worse that they are putting the memorial up for the killer. It puts everyone involved in the story in a bad light.

The proof reading here at Kotaku is usually very good. Unfortunate mistake.

How is this still not fixed?

I just got winning bid on the signed Xbox copy of space marine.. I know it won’t be the final bid but I don’t mind pumping up the price for charity.
