Yvonne Strahovski is known as both a model and TV actor, but really, around here she’s Mass Effect’s Miranda Lawson. And that’s it.
Or it was until today, as she’s now known as Mass Effect’s Miranda Lawson and “lady who talks about Angry Birds so much it’s a little strange”.
In an interview with Collider, Strahovski is asked what her favourite video game is. She doesn’t just answer. She turns it into a Gamefaqs forum thread. Which is awesome.
Strahovski: I don’t know if this classifies as a video game, but I have a terrible obsession with Angry Birds. I have 3 stared every single level that has ever come out ever except for this one in this moon thing that just came out.
Do you use any of the cheats on YouTube?
Strahovski: No. I am legitimate. The only thing I looked up is that I couldn’t find the last two golden watermelons in the Rio version. I couldn’t find them. I was like, “Where are the watermelons?!” So I had to go online and find out where they were.
Have you gotten the big bird and the feathers?
Strahovski: The one cockatoo thing?
This is really off topic, but there is this feather, and if you pay the dollar for the bird, you then have to complete 100 per cent with the bird to get the feather in each level.
Strahovski: Oh, right. I think I know what you are talking about. I don’t think that I have done that.
I just learned this. You can now replay every single level with a new thing.
Strahovski: Oh, wow.
This is what I love about Angry Birds. People hang shit on it all the time, but really, that’s a conversation that could have been had about any “proper” game. Just swap out feathers for giant rats.
