Brighten Up Your Morning With This Brilliant Tron Art

The latest Tron movie was a funny thing. And the game was just as funny as the movie. Forgettable content, but just gorgeous to look at. Good thing we’re just looking at Tron art today, then, and not playing it.

These pieces are all courtesy of Daryl Mandryk, a freelance concept artist who has worked with EA on games like Need for Speed, Def Jam and SSX, and more recently on the Turok and Tron franchises.

In between all that, Mandryk has also done work for clients like Lucasfilm, Dark Horse Comics and Hasbro.

What I like about this Tron stuff is that it reminds me of older Lucasarts material in the Star Wars universe: building on something that exists, and which was created by somebody else, but which you’re able to seamlessly add to without anyone ever noticing.

You can see more of Mandryk’s work at his personal site.

Fine Art is a celebration of the work of video game artists.
