Portal 2's Free 'Peer Review' Add-on Goes Live, Portal 2 Gets Cheap

The first downloadable add-on for Portal 2, the free cooperative missions known as "Peer Review" is now out for PC, Mac, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (or will be any minute now). And if you don't already own Portal 2...

Steam is selling Portal 2 at the very reasonable asking price of $US14.99 USD for the next couple days. You have until October 6 to get that 50% deal, so if you're still procrastinating on one of the best games of the year, procrastinate no more.

Today's downloadable add-on for the game continues the co-op adventures of Aperture Science bots P-Body and Atlas in a new test track. "The DLC also features a single player and co-op Challenge Mode, and leaderboards to compare Challenge Mode scores with friends and the Portal community," says Valve.

Shut up and take my money!

    Wait, it's free.

Yeah well I live in Australia and it isn't visisble on the Playstation Store for whatever reason...

        Same here... >_>

Challenge Mode was a big thing that Portal 2 was missing, and it surprises me that it's taken so long to implement it. At least it's free, I guess :P

What's this about Portal 2 being free? I still see it as $15

It's not Portal 2 that's free, but some new DLC for it.

It's the Downloadable content thats free!

And yep it's still not available in Australia, just checked. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I have ps3 and this doesn't seem to be up yet anyone know if this is actually coming out for us today?

is available for xbox. just search the website

    "Downloadable Content for
    Portal 2
There is no downloadable content available for this game."
    Thanks Steam..

Steam updates your games automatically unless you specify otherwise.. Think of this content as an update rather than DLC.

Launch the game, I'll bet the content is already loaded. Mine was.

Maybe that sarcastic 'Thanks Steam' should be changed to a genuine one..

Well isn't that nifty. That's actually pretty cool that they apply free DLC to games automatically. Faith in Steam restored. :)
Thanks for pointing that out Khuntza.

What does everyone think of the actual "Leaderboards" kinda weird not being able to scroll through names of everyone to see times.

Like the challenge mode though - still gotta finish the regular co-op game before I get onto the extras.

Personally I find leaderboards useless, unless there is a "show friends only" option, as the public 'boards get hacked in about 5 minutes.
