Hahaha, yeah it looks a bit like one of those disgusting anti-smoking ads that are everywhere at the moment. I don’t smoke, why do I need to see that?!! EWW!
Anytime one of those anti-smoking ads come on, it recieves a flapping of the hands and a mighty EEEWWW from me.

The game is Secrets of Evermore, released in Australia (and other PAL regions) in 1996 on the SNES. Good work, HolmCross. Tomorrow, the game shall be The Dig!*

Whoo! Sadly, I never played it, although I wanted to. I remembered it from a Hyper Magazine article I read when I was 12.
Is Hyper still around?
It is! I write for them! Former Kotaku editor David Wildgoose now edits it! You should go buy it if you want to.
I remember that cover! One of a few covers I remember my 12 year old self looking at and having no idea how to pick games. Didn’t get it, but I did end up with super metroid, Lufia and breath of fire 2 around that time so those years weren’t a complete loss.
Secret of Evermore? Psshh, clearly that game didn’t leave a lasting impressing on me.
