See Uncharted 3's Desert Village Gameplay Up Close And Beautiful

You may have seen this sandy, sun-soaked footage of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception before—Naughty Dog showed at Eurogamer Expo, but yanked the footage from YouTube. But now you can see it again in great detail and high-definition clarity. Hooray!

Since this appears to be some mid-to-late-game footage, be wary of spoilers, though most of what we see of Drake in action is comprised of massacring dozens of dudes with an assault rifle.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception comes to the PlayStation 3 on November 1, 2011.

This looks AWESOME. Love the new combat animations!

I usually play the game timidly (hang back in cover, etc), but this section at least looks to encourage more active play.

PS: Using an assault rifle like a melee weapon - best moment of the whole thing! :)

Want to watch so bad... must... resist...

WATCH IT NOW! SO BEAUTIFUL! There's no spoilers really.

I was thinking this may get a little overshadowed by some upcoming games, but this just proved me completely wrong. It's probably gonna win GOTY.

I'm almost afraid of the new combat system. I'm so used to playing it as stealthy as possible. Looks insane, gonna have to do what others are and replaying the others before this released. Try my hand at more melee combat.

wow i cant wait! love this series :D
ohh the the guy playing is a beast!

Oh thank God someone else thinks this. Had me worried that this is how you're meant to play the game if you had any skills :P

Playing through 2 right now on crushing in prep. for this one. Been so long since I played I forgot how awesome it is.
So many cool moments, can't wait for 3!!

I actually just replayed it a couple of weeks ago, and I had also forgotten how great it was. And that's despite the fact that I rate it as my favourite game of this generation - it was STILL better than I remembered it!

I just love the humour in it - I don't usually laugh out loud at games (well, scripted moments).

It's also one of the only action games that feels like an action movie.

I love the humour in it too, in fact the entire script is better written and acted than many blockbuster films i've seen in recent years. It really is something special.
I know i shouldn't, but Im fully giving in to the hype.
