Community Kudos

Can I just begin this week’s Community Kudos by saying that I have received more nominations this week that any other week I can remember. Writing this is going to be terrifying! Hope I remember everything…

First, an apology for this being posted early. We have a work celebration tonight, so I had to have all post done and dusted early. If any noms came in after four most likely they won’t make it onto the post — I’ll try and update later this evening!

Anyways… on with the noms.

I had, perhaps, the earliest nom in history from Virus__, who wanted to give kudos to Lamboman007. I’m a bit confused because the nomination was for offering to sell him a 360 — to me that seems like a beneficial act for both parties! Maybe I’m missing something. Lamboman007 is awesome anyway, so I’m glad to see him nominated.

Shane nominated Fled for reasons. Awesome reasons…

Once upon a time, spoilers for recent games became the subject of much distress among those yet to play said recent games. Indeed, discussion (or lack thereof) was dividing the community between those who wanted to talk, and those who didn’t want to accidentally flick their eyes over spoilage.

“fled” has revolutionised TAY. (At least, we think it was fled. No one else has taken credit.) Anyway, fled began posting spoilers in ROT13 so that conversations about recent games could take place without alienating those who still had Skyrim and Uncharted 3 on their shame piles.

Thanks to fled, TAY is now bilingual… or more multilingual than it was before (I think Harli is posting in Al Bhed, and who knows what bizarre Scottish sub-dialect Dr What is currently speaking!).

An absolutely top idea, well done Fled.

Shane also nominated Klutar for massively overpaying him for a book he sold to him. Good call.

Everyone was giving books away this week it seems — did you guys start a book club without my knowledge? We had a nomination for BDKIAF for giving a copy of American Gods to Splicer, and Rocketman gave his copy of the same book to Strange.

Bish made a nomination that I completely approve of — Dr What for creating an awesome spread of Indian food at the mini-meat he had at his house. I saw some pics on Facebook and left a pool of drool on my desk at home. Sorry I couldn’t make it guys, had a 21st I had to go to. Bish also nominated Strange and Dan for the upcoming Brisbane meat — so many meats!

Dawdle nominated a bunch of peeps for helping her fix her PC woes — Bish, Steve-O The Dev-O, Fled, Negative Zero and Pixel the Ferret Viking. Dawdle also nominated Bawble — but is this really a legal nomination considering the fact that Bawble is, in actual fact, Dawdle’s Bawble? It’s a grey area, but I’m going to say it’s totally cool!

And speaking of Bawble (we really should call him by his proper Kotaku name, Crabjiffy) Klutar wanted to nominate him for letting him borrow his b.net account to check out the Diablo 3 beta.

And to make the circle complete, we had a top midweek nomination from Welbot for Klutar, for gifting him a copy of Skyrim. Welbot also mentioned that Klutar is still waiting on a Kudos prize from a while back. For that, and for this, I’m going to send out something particularly awesome for him.

This week’s winner, however, has to be Chuloopa. He was nominated this week by a number of folks, including Gingerchris86 and Rize, for this incredible series of risque posts. Can’t believe I missed these…

Just went to the bathroom at work and had one of those rare occurrences when you get TWO STREAMSinstead of one, so you don’t know which one is more imperative to aim.

Needless to say i had to clean a small mess on the floor…

Dear Valued Customer,

Earlier this morning it was brought to our attention that a Chuloopa model Penile attachment was reported faulty, discharging two streams of urine rather that the usual one stream.

We notice this can be a severe frustration to users and can create a messy situation in no time.

For this, we are deeply sorry.

Customers will be happy to note that, with further testing this afternoon, no more faults have been found and all Chuloopa model penile attachments seem to be functioning properly.

If you have any more questions or concerns, please feel free to contact on the details below, otherwise have a peachy day.

Sincerely,

Troy Cleary

Dear Valued Customer,
Some design flaws we just can’t get past – such as the 7am erectile malfunction that may cause urine to flow at an almost 90 degree angle, or the reduced accuracy in reduced-light situations.
That being said, we pride ourselves on quality over quanity, and while our units are only mid-sized, they are robust on quality! Our staff and customer satifaction teams work around the clock to make sure you get the best from all Chuloop-Tech industries products!
Sincerely,
CEO of Awesome

Wow. So yeah, it was pretty hard to look past Chuloopa this week!

Congrats!
