No offence to the few who do an amazing job with it, but I’m sick of Final Fantasy cosplay. There’s just too damn much of it. So for this week’s Fancy Pants, I’m going cold turkey. No Final Fantasy. No Kingdom Hearts either, for that matter.
Filling the void will be some cosplay of games we just don’t see enough of in this feature. Like Lineage II! And Devil May Cry! And Star Wars: The Old Republic, which isn’t even out yet!
Other games on display in this week’s cosplay roundup include Mass Effect, Bayonetta, World of Warcraft, Zelda and Batman. OK, so it’s technically not the costume found in the games (it’s modelled on Adam Hughes’ comic art), but hey, it’s close enough.
Fancy Pants is a look at the world of cosplay (costume play), where people dress up as their favourite video game characters. Sometimes it works! Sometimes it… yeah.
