Gundam In Gold Leaf

Ishikawa is famous for its lacquer ware. For centuries, skilled craftsmen have produced Yamanaka lacquer ware. Bowls and dishes are most traditional. Gundam models are not.

The same traditional methods were used to coat these Gundam. It took around one month to complete the figures. They were created for the Gundam Builders World Cup and were selected as top 100 finalists.

The figures are currently on display here in Kaga City in Ishikawa.
