Minecraft’s Statistics Will Crush Your Mind

At Minecon, Minecraft’s big convention held over the weekend, a panel revealed some terrifying statistics on not just how popular the once-indie darling is, but how often people screw around with it.

The development team at Mojang used a talk to reveal the statistics from Minecraft.net, the game’s launchpad of sorts, and those stats are as follows:

241,920,000 logins per month
1,000 logins per hour
4000 logins per second after 1.0 launch
2,000,000,000 files download by the launcher
11,000 skin downloads (in game) per second

It’s the “per second” ones I have the most trouble visualising. Those numbers boggle the mind.
