Report: Inevitable Battlefield 4 Mentioned By... EA's President

You didn't think EA would stop at Battlefield 3, did you? Apparently during a keynote at the University of Southern California, Electronic Arts president Frank Gibeau said, "There is going to be a Battlefield 4."

So we can take that as official confirmation? You know, the president of Electronic Arts saying that? Um, no. Sorry.

EA told IGN, "Frank was speaking broadly about the Battlefield brand—a brand that EA is deeply passionate about and a fan community that EA is committed to."

If I were to speak broadly about, say, hamburgers, and you said, "Brian, how many hamburgers do you want?" I'd say, I want some hamburgers. But, if asked me, and I was being very specific, I would say, "Reader person, I would like four hamburgers."!/bwinfrey/status/134083231569035264">President on @EA just said [Twitter via IGNThanks Thomas!]

No shit, eventually there is going to be a sequel of something at some point. That's like me saying "It might rain between now and Christmas".

as long as Dice hire some better script writers and plot developers...

you know, ones that can tell a compelling story that last's for longer than 6 measly hours, and ones that don't look CoD single player stories and think, hey that's the bar we need to reach so we may as well just copy.

things like...oooooo say decent character development might go a little way to helping the game to make a more engaging single player experience, otherwise just drop it and focus on what you do best Multiplayer PC titles
