While you were sleeping — I think there’s an argument to be made that I’m, technically, still sleeping (so tired) but regardless this is your gateway to the news that went down overseas while you were dozing and drooling. Skyrim. I don’t think I’ve written a ‘While You Were Sleeping’ this week that didn’t open with a story about Skyrim, might as well continue the trend. We all knew Skyrim was going to be a success on some level, but I can’t believe the way this once niche series has exploded onto the mainstream. Its a beautiful thing in my opinion. Skyrim has landed 50 perfect reviews and made over US$450m at launch. Unbelieveable.
And now Bethesda’s partner in legal drama, Mojang, has announced that the finished Minecraft will be released on Friday. It’s been a while since I’ve tried and failed to get into Minecraft. This might be as good a chance as any to give it another go.
Revelations — I haven’t had a chance to play it yet, I’ve barely touched Skyrim at this point, but I’m still keen. You should totally check out this look at the end of Revelations and the future of the series. Call of Duty Elite will come to PC eventually, and this is what happens when Chrono Trigger is cross with another time traveller?
