The Australian price, they sure can. $100 more than US for base model. $100 more for 3G. In America it is only $50. Thanks for helping me choose Amazon SCE Australia!

Amazon won't ship electronics to AUS. And by the time you factor in shipping is it even worth it, also what if you get a model that has problems and needs to be shipped back?

Not for now but hopefully later.

Since when did amazon stop hshipping electronics to AUS

they wouldnt ship the 3Gone because it's locked to a specific phone company

They will not ship the wifi units out of the states for now. Hopefully, they will change their mind. http://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-Vita-WiFi/dp/B003O6EATE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1324776812&sr=8-2

It is worth noting that Sony recently dropped the RRP of the 3G Vita in AU from $449.95 to $419.95.

Agreed.. the AU price is pretty high.

For me to get it and not just replace my old psp with another psp, they're gonna have to drop the price to that of the RRP of the 3DS (not the price it's actually being sold for which is much cheaper atm), which sounds radical but since I've already got the 3DS, I'm already out of pocket, and Nintendo's console not only has "good enough" graphics (the shader support is at least modern, and it's an improvement over my old PSP), but with games like Resident Evil Revelations there's more of a market for my age category...

So from what I feel, Sony will have a much easier time getting customers who haven't already got the 3DS, at least with that high a price.

I should qualify that by saying how much I'd like a PSVita, but since I also want some more 3DS games some time down the track, a new computer, and a new PSP to play all my UMD games that I haven't finished due to the 3000's untimely contact with the floor, so hopefully if they don't end up dropping the price they at least hold out for poor people like me to save up for one :)

    They can but they wont.

I helped my friend bury his 3DS this week, so sad, it barely survived it's birth.
