Telltale’s New Jurassic Park Game

In 1993, BlueSky Software created the Sega CD Jurassic Park game. It was a point-and-click adventure with bad art direction and the six-year old me would spend hours trying to play it. The game was terrible and it took almost 20 years for the Jurassic Park series to make it up to me.

There is a new Jurassic Park adventure game. Finally. Recently released by Telltale Games, it’s the game I would have killed for back in the day. The game is pushed forward with a combination of Quick Time Events and point-and-click clue-finding. That makes it a bit like Heavy Rain.

The game can feel slow at times, putting you through the paces before you get to the juicy stuff. I don’t mind the build up, but I can see how others might find it a bit tedious. Jurassic Park is a game built for a very specific type of gamer and it will make that elusive few very happy.
