Angry Birds Launches Valentine’s Day Assault On Facebook

Filed under news I was too busy playing Final Fantasy XIII-2 to notice last week, Rovio’s pig-popping physics-powered sensation Angry Birds makes its Facebook debut on February 14, just in time to give the loveless something to do on Valentine’s Day evening.

While I’ll likely be out getting my traditional Valentine’s Day tattoo on February 14, part of me will be sitting at home in front of the computer eagerly awaiting the launch of Angry Birds on Facebook. The Facebook version of the bird/pig war will feature competitive elements the likes of which we have never seen, thanks to integration with the social network. Challenge your friends, compete against your friends and annoy your friends with constant updates.

Yeah, blocking Angry Birds notifications shall be a must.

Rovio promises more information on the Facebook version in the coming weeks. Until then all we can do is try to forget.
