Gotham City Impostors January Release Date Was Some Kind Of Joke

With the console beta test for Monolith’s downloadable dose of bat on clown violence still ramping up, Warner Bros has gently pushed the release date for Gotham City Impostors from January into February. Someone notify Julian Day!

Releasing simultaneously on Xbox Live Arcade, the PlayStation Network and PC can’t be easy, so we’ll cut the fine folks at Monolith a little slack when it comes to Gotham City Impostors not making its original January 10 release. With 1000 layers of player advancement and a ridiculous level of customisation, I’d much rather see the game come out good than come out now.

Not that it’s not good now, mind you. It just needs a little more time in the over to develop a tasty crust. If you want to lay blame, blame the beta testers as Gotham Impostors forum administrator ThunderDragon did in the official notification of delay post.

Given the vast amount of feedback and data we received during our Beta, the Gotham City Impostors launch date is being moved to the February time frame. Your participation was tremendous. Many thanks for playing. Please stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.

Damn their unnatural thoroughness!

Don’t worry, they’ll stop whining about bugs and tweaking by February. Until then there’s always LARPing.
