Indie Game: The Movie Wins At Sundance

At first people thought it may have been a joke. Indie Game: The Movie — how could that possibly be a real thing? Then it was confirmed, we watched the trailer, and it looked legit. Now it’s winning awards.

The movie won the Best Editing category at the Sundance World Cinema Documentary Competition. The directors shot more than 300 hours of footage, which was edited down to a 94 minute documentary.

The documentary stars Jonathan Blow (creator of Braid), Phil Fish (Fez), and Edmund McMillen (Super Meat Boy).
