Dinsaurs? Jetpacks? This New Shooter Has Them Both.

ORION: Dino Beatdown is an upcoming team-based multiplayer shooter for the PC. Players take control of guys using jetpacks who face waves of dinosaurs, and have to shoot them all in their pointy little faces.

Not that all the faces are little. As you'll see in the clip above.

It's being worked on by Spiral Game Studios, a new developer made up of people whose credits include titles such as Unreal Tournament, BioShock, Borderlands, Jade Empire, Halo, Mortal Kombat and...Forza.

ORION: Dino Beatdown is coming for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 (the latter pair as a downloadable title), and will be out sometime later this year.

One thing I particularly like: this statement from the dev team about future downloadable content for the title. "Do you know who thought of charging $US15 for 4 maps? I would like to kick them in the nuts."

But do the dinosaurs have feathers like they should?

I guess that depends on if they go turok style and let us use bows

I approve of your feathered "dinsaur" advocacy!
      Feathered dinosaurs are superior.

    Dinsaurs?

    This has my attention.

This game looks Tribes influenced. Still looks pretty fun.

    Dinsaurs?

    This looks epic.

    so... tribes vs dinosaurs?

Anyone remember this Dino + Jetpack game?

I love any game that lets me shoot crayons at Dinosaurs.

Man, that was one of my favourite games back in the day.

It looks kinda fun, but very much just aim and shoot.

    Dinosaurs!

What I want to know is why we don't have a game that shows the earth is less than 6000 years old with man and dinsaurs (couldn't resist) living in harmony like certain Christian groups believe.

Dinsaurs?! (keeping the pattern going. see every second comment)

"The platforms have changed from the original plan: consoles are out, and OnLive and Steam are in."
