Pokémon Director Teases New Game

News of the next Pokémon game could come as soon as Monday.

Junichi Masuda, one of the original minds behind the popular role-playing game series and the director of Pokémon Black and White, the series’ most recent entries, will appear on TV Tokyo’s Pokémon Smash Sunday morning to make “a very important announcement,” he said on his blog today.

“And, for those of you who can’t watch television on live, I will announce the same information right after the show via Twitter,” he said. “Everyone, I hope you all enjoy the show!!”

Earlier this week, when asked by fans for news about the next Pokémon game, Masuda said he couldn’t answer just yet — but that they should watch Pokémon Smash this weekend.

Rumors suggest the new game will be called Pokémon Gray.
