Draw Something, Now With Hunger Games

The Hunger Games is out today, in more ways than just the film release and yesterday's iOS game.

Entertainment site Mashable reports that the insanely popular pictionary game Draw Something received an update today with seven new words, all pertaining to The Hunger Games franchise:

Hunger Games fan or not, Draw Something players are likely to see Peeta, Haymitch, Gale, Effie, Tribute, Reaping and Primrose show up as options for things to draw.

The possibilities for pop cultural references — a staple that developers OMGPOP proudly incorporated into their mobile pictionary game — are endless.

I'll be impressed if you can both draw and guess these newest items. If you've already seen it pop up in your Draw Something games, post them in the comments section for us.

'The Hunger Games' Comes to Draw Something [EXCLUSIVE] [Mashable]

As someone who knows nothing about this franchise (other than that lots of people have an OCD reaction to any mention of it to have to say "but... Battle Royale!"), I'm just glad that DrawSomething gives you a choice of words so I don't have to draw one of these.

Uh... what the heck is a "Katniss"?!

      Sounds dirty.

Katniss is an edible, aquatic plant that the characters in the book substitute as a potato. One of the many things that the movie doesnt even bother to explain.

probably a 'muttation' *groan* of Cat-tails, similar plants that are great for sustenance.

i actually didnt mind Hunger Games. Watched it last night. It did have one failing and that was that it was caught between wanting to a an movie for teens but it had a lot of adult themes. Was directed very well and great use of juxtaposition throughout. If i had directed it i would have made it slightly more full on in terms of wound detail etc. Otherwise enjoyable enough just go see it during the week at lunch or something otherwise 18 yr old girls will no doubt squeal a lot during it.

Loved the books, loved the movie, hate this. It already bugs me when I get Bonjovi and whatnot as something to draw!

Of course, now Zynga owns them, so I have to make a moral decision if I will continue to play. Like Words with friends, I really enjoy the game. But Zynga has crossed so many Moral Event Horizons that it takes a conscious choice to play one of their games and I feel a bit dirty when I do.

    i hate you tina
