Portal 2 Is Best Game, And Battlefield 3 Wins Three At BAFTA Awards


Last night, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts held its awards gala, and Portal 2 took home Best Game as one of three video games to win in multiple categories.

Battlefield 3 was honored with best online multiplayer, audio achievement and the public-voted GAME award; Batman: Arkham City was the top action title, and Mark Hamill the year’s best performer.

Best Game, Best Design and Best Story: Portal 2

GAME award, Online Multiplayer, and Audio Achievement: Battlefield 3 (voted by the public)

Action and Performer: Batman: Arkham City, and Mark Hamill.

Mobile & Handheld: Peggle HD

Game Innovation and Family: Little Big Planet 2

Strategy: Total War: Shogun 2

One To Watch: Tick Tock Toys

Online Browser: Monstermind

Artistic Achievement: Raymans Origins

Sports/Fitness: Kinect Sports 2

Debut Game: Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet

Original Music: LA Noire

Special award: Markus “Notch” Persson, creator of Minecraft and founder of Mojang.
