Super Lemonade Factory Is Out Today

Last year we met Intials Video Games, who were working on an adorable platformer called Super Lemonade Factory. It finally releases today on iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad.

Perhaps one of the neatest things Initials has done with the game is make their level editing tool and all their assets available for players to make their own levels. This is the same tool used by the developers to make the game and it functions on both PC and Mac. Players can test the levels out in a flash version of the game on their computer, and also write new dialogue for all the interactions with the characters. The level editor can be accessed here.

Aside from looking fantastic, the premise of the game is also different to most iOS platformers. Super Lemonade Factory is about labour relations, gender roles, and moral dilemmas for an industry during wartime. It's a gorgeous little game that supports co-operative play.

You can purchase it from the App Store right now.

Man, there are some serious OH&S issues here.

      Oh you two.

Beautiful pixel art. Amazing what they can do with something like 10 x 25 pixels per character.

Death Star superlaser technician 2: Yeah, I know. I've almost fallen over that thing so many times. So what'd they say?
Death Star superlaser technician 1: Get this: they said they're worried we'd be leaning all day.
Death Star superlaser technician 2: They said that?
Death Star superlaser technician 1: Yeah.
Death Star superlaser technician 2: Well, none of this will matter when we're famous singers.
