The Mass Effect 2 Music That Didn't Make The Cut

We know that some really cool music from the first Mass Effect is hidden in the background of Mass Effect 3.

As it turns out, there's also some great unused music from Mass Effect 2 that's hidden... in the background of the internet!

Okay, that was an awkward transition. At any rate, the video above was created by Jimmy "Big Giant Circles" Hinson, who has released this album of music that was originally written for Mass Effect 2 but didn't get used.

Hinson also appears to have made the video above to accompany the track "Shepard of the Galaxy", which is... pretty damned great! I've seen a lot of fan-made Mass Effect tributes lately, but this one stands apart, largely on the strength of the music.

You can get nine of Hinson's unused Mass Effect 2 tracks here for $US4.99.

    BGC is awesome.

Also, there were loads of tracks from ME2 that were in ME3. Most of them in side missions or, for example, when the Normandy appears at the start.

I don't know if I'm the only one who thought ME2 soundtracks was better than any of the other ME's? Suicide Mission by far the best

Agreed. Suicide Mission is the best piece in any Mass Effect game. If you've heard it in the game, then every time you go to the ME2 Main Menu you're bound to get shivers.

Wasn't Clint mansell (requiem for a dream) the composer for me2? That would explain the quality

No. He only composed for Mass Effect 3. Which I my opinion had the worst soundtrack of all three games, despite many of the tracks were remixed from Mass Effect 1 and 2.

I love Clint Mansell. He only had like... two or three tracks on ME3 though, and they were in the trailer.

Vigil? From The Wreckage? M4 Part 2?
