News and notes from around the world of sports video gaming: • Golf is probably the one thing people wouldn’t look silly playing when they play Kinect. Well, EA Sports will fix that, bringing back Shaq Fu (no, really) in this humorous YouTube promotion for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 featuring Woods and Shaquille O’Neal. The game will make use of Kinect for the first time this year. No word if your voice commands have to be badly dubbed, too.
• Voting has begun to select the second Heisman Trophy winner who’ll share the NCAA Football 13 cover with Robert Griffin III of Baylor. The Facebook app features eight videos of the candidates. Herschel Walker accounts for six of them.
• As to why they’re blowing out all the Heisman stuff this year, the game gave a preliminary rundown of its feature set. A new “Heisman Challenge” mode will give fans the opportunity to “utilise the skill set of a legendary Heisman Trophy winner in a quest to match his award-winning historical performances and win the Heisman trophy once again.” More on that to come May 28. Recruiting in Dynasty mode will give you give you the chance to scout players. [Operation Sports]
