Valve will release free Portal 2 DLC titled “Perpetual Testing Initiative” for PC and Mac on May 8, the publisher said today.
Valve says you’ll be able to “easily create, share, and play Portal 2 puzzles” with the new DLC, which lets you publish maps directly to Steam. Other players will be able to browse, vote, and download user-created maps to play in their own versions of the game.

My body is ready.
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY
you mean its getting released in a few months, whatever happened to valve time?
AWESOME! I CAN’T WAIT TO JUMP ON MY XBOX AND OH WAIT A MINUTE
serves you right for not being a PC gamer
Nice to see they’re attempting to streamline the mapping community’s efforts. Whilst such a minor thing, I can imagine the frustration some gamers may have had if unfamiliar with the Steam console.
Loading custom maps may well be a damn sight easier for them now.
This is awesome, as long as they make it easy to distinguish single player from co-op maps. I assume they will.
