Remember This? [UPDATED]

Do you remember the game from this fragment of a screenshot? Leave your answer in the comments! Today's game was recommended by Kotaku reader Gus.

My instant reaction was Lemmings 2 (from a CIrcus tribe level) but I don't think the patterning was like that.

    The Dig.

Thanks kaws. Sometimes I can't always make it in here at 12; good to know the legacy continues regardless. :)

      Or... LE SIGH. Whatever, really.

        Someones gotta tow the line.

Those colours and pattern are so familiar... Is it Bubble Bobble?

Oooh good one, I think you might be right.

shit...maybe not. the small thumbnail totally looked like Uniracers.

I too thought Uniracers when I saw it

But then my first thought with these is usually wrong

No.. no I don't remember what that is...
    What is it?

    wonder boy 3: dragons trap

Is possibly one of the best games of all time.

*Is DEFINITELY one of the best games of all time.

        Fixed it for you

thanks my spell checker is not very assertive.

As soon as I read matt's comment, I had the main towns theme song stuck in my head.

I think this article needs to transform into one which explains just how godlike WB3: Dragon's Trap was.

Red and Yellow Piano Keys of Terror?

Wait wait is that Dragon Ball Z Hyper Dimension? Looks like the border from story mode to me

    Theme Park?

Any chance it's James Pond / Robocod?

I thought the same. I remember they did Robocod last year.

Something on the Sega Master System?

That is one ugly arsed game.

Haha! Hey! It's not that bad. At least it's in colour, lots of others for that particular system weren't. :)

And the game was heaps of fun too. :)

I'll have to take your word for it :P

Some crappy game that was never release in the west

Gus says it's a game he used to play, so unless he's being a trickster, I would say it was released in AU at some point!

My grandma bought it somewhere here in Aus.
A few years later when the system and this game was passed on to my family this was the standout title I had for it. At least I remember playing it the most. :)

Was thinking Blaster Master but it looks too old.
Probeulon - Depths of Madnass? (tee hee)

I don't think it's anywhere near it, but Dynamite Dan?

Since no one has guessed the game and the day is almost over, it's time for the big reveal!

The game is.... BLAGGER for the Amstrad!

I think maybe the link to the image got lost in a fiendish copy/paste conspiracy. For those waiting with bated breath, I think I found it - enjoy.
