So, How Those Nintendo Machines Doing, Huh? Those Games?

Throughout its history as a game company, Nintendo has released an impressive array of game machines. Have you ever thought, hrm, I wonder how said game machines are doing? Let's find out!

Nintendo recently released worldwide lifetime sale data for its game machines as well as for its games. The data is of March 31, so you'll have to image how Nintendo has done since them.

    I like to image things!

On a serious note though, that's really telling of how poorly the 3DS has been received, almost based purely on the fact there are such a limited selection of games. I hope nintendo is looking at their own data and sees we need more quality 3DS titles

      Are you trippin' ballz sir?

Well the image comment may have been out of context "so you’ll have to image how Nintendo"

The quality titles was more referring to only things I see on 3DS are remakes and games that are really trying to push their 3D gimmick, I don't even put the 3D feature on mine, such a waste IMO

...Even though the DS has been out since 2004/5, and the Wii since 2006? Whereas the 3DS has only had a single year.

Remember that the DS had about a year of sluggishness before it finally rocketed off too.

You're an idiot if you think the 3DS is a failure or is selling badly, the Vita on the other hand is selling horribly.

Call Of Duty in your pocket (bag, realistically) is going to bring about 5 million consumers into the Vita fold. Count on it.

The Vita will sell - it just needs some games that make use of those dual analogue sticks...ie FPS games.

what? 3ds has just started... its got ages to go...

I had no idea NES sold more than the next 3 gens.

Nintendo went backwards from the NES all the way to the Cube. Thats why we got the Wii and DS instead of a kickass HD system. They had to try and make something from nothing., And they pulled it off with flying colours. Now they are cashed up again we can hopefully see the Nintendo of old emerge again. :D

poor gamecube.....it always surprises me how little it sold
Its still my favorite console of all time

I still maintain that the Nintendo 64 is the best offline multiplayer console of all time

^ This.... just built myself a retro pc, spent the weekend playing WCW vs NWO Revenge, Goldeneye, Mario Kart, Mario Party, and Super Smash Brothers with some mates. Surprising how well you can adapt 360 controllers to N64... Goldeneye felt a bit odd though. 4 player mayhem!

No Virtualboy? Gunpei must be turning in his grave, which I envision has a headstone shaped like a Gameboy.
