What is this "KHANNNNNNNNN" thing reference too?

DAMNIT! I said to myself "please don't make this a pageget..."

Now I have to keep 2 tabs of TAY open and refresh both... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :(

      .....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................really?

I like that we both started the same way, though yours was considerably more drawn out than mine.

I figured it would make it more awkward and that's what I do best. Or ruin things. Take your pick.

More awkward. I was going to draw mine out further, but I decided that it was far too much effort...

      ... Really?

The second Start Trek movie, "The Wrath of Khan."

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRnSnfiUI54&feature=player_detailpage#t=17s

For the relevant bit. It's rather silly.

      Oh Greeny.. so young...

@Greenius, man I was impatient back then...

But I do have actual alts with their own email addresses and pics. I'm just not going to tell you who they are, cause that would spoil all my fun :3
    (I'm not Batman though)

      Meh..

      No, I am.

      I know one of them!

I am bearer of TAY secrets.

        You know who Batman is?

The fact that Batman posted during a fairly big meat suggests we can rule out any of those attendees.

See, previously I would agree. But with the new TAYphone it wouldn't be hard.

If Batman was someone who was on their phone during the meat this means that the monomeat was so unsuccessful, boring and so socially awkward that they were all on their phones the whole time ;)

If I was there that would've happened anyway.

So yes, all of the above.

Hey, that happened at the monomeat today. It was the weird kind where people would tweet people who were at the meat with them. :P But it was funny, not unsuccessful!

Yes, but if anyone with a phone was going to access TAY at the meat, surely they would have screamed something to the effect of 'THIS IS SO AWESOME ALL YOU PEOPLE IN OTHER STATES SUCK FOR NOT BEING HERE'

              I know I would. :P

Maybe whoever it is was just that good that they were able to hold out on the trash talking?

I find it amusing you can tell what mood I'm in by the music I'm listening too.

What are you listening to? *imagines 'Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows everywhere' playing*

I had to leave the monomeat early. It depresses me so much. YOU HAVE NO IDEA.

I am quite tired. Bloody cosplay. *shakes fist*

      Meeeeeeehhhh.

I would go on! Except my throat is so sore and awful and I dont think anyone wants to hear me sound like lana del rey

I've been joining in on TS lately. But I feel weird just sitting in the corner listening :/

Gottlieb: Pinball Classics, A mini review...

Well, this game certainly took me by surprise.
After enjoying the wealth of playability offered by Zen Pinball on the PS3, I decided to look around for a portable pinball game I could take with me on the go.
In the end, I managed to find Gottlieb Pinball Classics on PSP.
I figured, "It's only $8.45, it probably be an okay game..."
This is one of the best pinball games I've ever played, even better than Zen Pinball in my opinion.
The only negatives I can find are some minor graphical shortcomings, but they don't detract from the overall experience.
It has Wireless Ad Hoc multiplayer, as well as "pass the handheld" multiplayer for up to four players.
It's playable on PSP and PSVITA, the sounds are quite good for a game made six years ago, and it has one little thing that I love....
A vertical camera... meaning you can play it like a proper pinball table, with tthe analog stick as the launcher, and the square and circle buttons as flippers.
Honestly, I'm running out of things to say about this game, so I'll leave it at this...
For the price, this game is a must have.
The controls are tight, the gameplay is beautiful, the graphics are almost perfect, and the audio from the tables is eerily brilliant.
Gottlieb: Pinball Classics is a must have for any pinball fan.
    9/10

I HATE THAT I AM SICK FOR THE FIRST TIME IN OVER A YEAR AND THAT I SPENT THE WHOLE TIME ALL MOPEY IN BED CRACKING THE SHITS AT EVERYONE. I WANTED TO EAT CHOCOLATE! WAS THAT SO MUCH TO ASK BODY!?

I am now looking at asos to soothe my sad heart

YOU'RE TALKING IN ALL CAPS AGAIN!

      THIS MEANS YOU'RE FEELING BETTER.

It needs more me actually getting better. My body protests when I try to get out of bed.

    Hi all,

Kicking off my official The Lesser Evil blog book tour with an author interview here:
    http://writersparty.com/2012/04/27/authorinterviewshanesmith/

Wishing I had something more relevant to report as well, but I'm still too disappointed by The Avengers to think of anything.

Read and rated 5 stars :)

      It's totes better than Episode 1 ;)

I love good news week's so you think you can mime. Especially when someone who can't stop himself from talking.
It's hilarious. Jason Byrne makes noises instead of talking.

      Haha, he's a classic.

He is. I just love him in the so you think you can mime.

I love Jason Byrne, he's just so crazy

I love his inability to not talk

Something something something drunk something something something

I've been drinking a lot more over the past couple of weeks :S

Well the last two weeks we had TAYbar, which makes sense, but this week we have...uh...nothing...

No I had TAYbar this week too, it's just I was the only client.

I was around on TS earlier, but talked/idled in the main channel... not gonna TAYbar solo!

Shane! I just saw The Avengers...and I really enjoyed it.

I think if you went in expecting trademark witty Whedon dialogue or whatever you were bound to be disappointed. These weren't his characters, they were Marvel's so he couldn't exactly suddenly make them full of wit when they had none before. He did give as much as he could to characters who fit, like Stark.
I also think anyone who hasn't seen all the previous Superhero movies leading up to this would definitely not feel very invested in the characters because it was too much assumed the viewers had all seen them. I know almost nothing about the Marvel Universe so I was really glad I'd made sure I watched Thor and Captain America this week in preparation. It really made all the difference. I haven't seen the Hulk movie though so I could easily imagine how much...less the movie would have seemed had I not done my homework, so to speak. So yeah, I can see how if you went in expecting things there was bound to be disappointment.

I had loads of fun, there were some great moments were everyone in the theatre almost couldn't stop laughing and the New York thing was awesome. I also loved that superheroes got grubby. That was cool.

The Hulk movie is essentially irrelevant, what with the changing of actors, as thingummy plays a COMPLETELY different Banner to Norton(All you need know is "Banner goes Green, smashes things as Hulk"). And I had a friend who hadn't seen half of the prequel movies, and he had a moment of confusion, but kept up quite quickly, so I'm not quite sure why people are necessarily worried about that.

Oh well. I have accepted that mine will be a minority opinion, but the above were dealbreakers for me. The movie just didn't make sense.

I'm imaging that the bit in caps (FUVRYQ'f) says HULK SMASH! in english, even though there aren't enough letters for it...

no offence man, but you are really just nit picking on some things

can't you suspend your disbelief for a superhero movie? also, if some of those things were explained, it'd make a long movie even longer...

Yeah I quite enjoyed it. Sure you would not describe it as a deep. thinking man's movie but damn was it entertaining.

    +4, 1 for each meal I had.
    -6 for all the hugging.
    4/10 Meat.

So only a 6/10 to start with? Guess I'm surprised it was that high given the -10000 for having Pez in attendance. That guy makes my vagina seal shut every time I see him post.

Sorry, +1 foor making a guy think I was actually crippled.
        That was awkward.

that limp was pretty convincing though.

      Tell me about the food.

        Well let me tell you.
The first edible item I acquired was a banana and coconut cupcake. I have to be honest, I don't really like banana cake; I think banana as a flavouring item is a bit odd, and the traditionally heavier cake mix is not something I desire in a cupcake. That said, it was fairly moist, and the coconut icing was generous. If I liked banana cake, I would give it 8 / 10 maybe, but my natural bias against it lowers it down to a 6.
Next was lunch at Wagamama. I got some vegetable curry and Lychee Green Tea. I can't really take heat at all, despite an incident a few months ago which burned all my taste buds away, but Japanese curry (I find) is always pleasantly flavourful and mild for my tastes. Teh curry sauce was great. The rice had a bit too much water when cooked so was a tiny bit stickier and gluey than it should have been, but that's a minor niggle. The salad/lettuce leaves were...there and inoffensive. I don't know why it was there. I think the lack of, say, cucumber and tomato and the inclusion of a slightly sour dressing took away any possibility of refreshing the palette, if that's what they were aiming for. The deep fried vegetables? Amazing. The pumpkin was cruchy on the outside, but soft and sweet on the inside, and there was bite to the eggplant. I think if they did the eggplant a tiny bit longer it would have been amazing and creamy inside, but that's just personal preference.I can only blame myself for not getting the chicken version, because I think the meat would have made it more exciting than just vegies. The problem was the sauce placement. I underrstand that you scoop it across the whole plate for coverage, but when some of your meal items are breadcrumb fried items, you soak away half of the point of frying it in breadcrumbs. It's not bad, it just would have been better to have had, say, a pool of the curry sauce (even ladelled over the rice would have been fine) seperated from the fried items. Dip it in, keep the flavour curry without sacrificing the light crunchiness.
As for the lychee green tea, you got a reasonably sized teapot of it. The Green Tea aspect was nice. Slightly bitter as you'd expect. You could almost taste the lychee. That said I just really like tea, and there's no way I can really fault it. I award the Wagamama lunch meal 8 / 10.
Next up was when I bought more cupcakes because Harli and Freyr yelled at me. And let me tell you, I'm actually tempted dock marks for this because out of all the damned eateries in Market City, I could only find one place that sold cupcakes. I literally wandered around for 15 minutes just to get them. But I won't do that because that would be unfair to the cupcake. Anywho. I can only speak for the cupcake I had. Delicious cupcake base. Moist, heavy but very chocolatey, and sweet. But for me personally, a tad too sweet. Also my cupcake icing was just marshmellow. Whads up with that? 7.5 / 10.
Was dinner next? I think it was. [Assumingly brand name alcoholic beverage]-battered flathead with fries. So fancy fish and chips at Yardhouse. The batter was golden and crunchy and the fish was cooked perfectly. Still flakey inside, which made it great for cutting up so you dip in their tartare sauce. That sauce however, was a tad too creamy. And not lemony enough. And it just occurs to me I could have use the lemon wedge they gave me (which was ridiculously juicy) to solve both those problems, derp. Though I don't know if it was sympton of flathead (I don't eat it often) or them just cutting it up in really thin strips, but I like my battered fish to feel like, well, it exists. The flathead offered no flavour, and no texture; though that latter point might be because the batter was so crunchy that it 'overpowered' the smoothness of the fish. But yeah, I had to rely a bit too much on the tartare sauce to flavour it. The fries were just like McDonalds fries. Cooked better, but still didn't offer much. Pretty good for dipping though, I guess. Oh, non descript salad was non descript. 6.5 / 10. More a case of style over substance.
So then while half the group was visiting some sort of sexytime shop or something, I got a pie from Pie Face which was right next door. I asked the Pie Face man for assistance in choosing a pie, and he suggested the Chicken & Mushroom (but probably be cause there wer like 4 of those and only 1 Steak & Mushroom). Pastry was great. Nice and flakey, but didn't hold its shape very well. Definitely lacking actual chicken and mushroom, but still had a reasonable amount and the sauce was like lava and was packed with flavour. For a snack on a whim? Great. 8.5 / 10.
Last up was another late night snack. Just some large chips from Oporto. I gotta be honest, I remember them being better. Maybe it was because it was 1AM, but half were well cooked (crunchy outside and soft on the inside) and the other half were just cooked (crisp outside, slightly firm inside). They didn't put enough flavouring on it. Slightly above average at best, but I will give it a 5 / 10

I dont like Wagamama. A lot of the food tastes like ass.

Quick catch up from yesterTAY while I was gallivanting around Sydney:

    @Greenius RE: anime
Please watch Baccano! In my opinion, the english dub was better than the japanese (probably because most of the characters are actually supposed to be american. I dunno :P). But I've been recommending that show to everybody forever and nobody has taken it. xD Also Haruhi Suzumiya if you get the chance! (both english and japanese are good)

    @Virus RE: LA Noire
You may as well go the whole hog and rack up ludicrous amounts of damage to get that achievement. I just kept car hopping and crashing each one for like an hour or something while listening to the old time radio. xD

    @Sydney TAYbies RE: Fun
    I had some.

    ...that's it. :P

I'm downloading the ones with the least seeds first so I can get them done and out of the way :)

Baccano! has a lot of seeds so I won't be watching it any time soon even though I want to (I know nothing about it but a friend really liked it). Damn you HD anime and your big file size! Gonna take forevers!

Oh I didn't know such an achievement existed *launches LA Noire* see you all in a few days!

The tip with the LA Noire achievement is to find the most expensive cars. There's a special showcase or dealership somewhere where you can smash all of them

.... I'm going back to sleep.

You make my personal parts get all tingly. Have you ever considered lesbianism? If not, chat to Pez for a while then you'll be gagging for some lady love.

So my sewing machine has decided to declare war on me.
Bad timing, Sewing machine, bad timing.

      Sewing machines are complicated. :(

I make myself Bacon, eggs and toast for breakfast and I discover we are out of hash browns. My life is ruined. I may as well just kill myself now.

make some home made hash browns!

Eugh I just realised, why doesn't Ninite have Vent & Team Speak x.x

    Tough'en TAYbies workout post thingy:

So I got an exercise bike today and I'm just wondering how much I should be doing? I'm guessing a fairly low resistance /load and not too much distance so I can sort of ease myself into it. I haven't really done any real physical activity for years now (used to play a ton of sport in high school) so I'm assuming I shouldn't be doing a full on 20kms or something intense like that.

Any ideas on how much I should be doing? 5km or so, or perhaps less/more? I really have no idea :P so any advice/recommendations would be great.

    Thankyew <3

(I have pretty weak quads which caused some knee problems during soccer in mid 2010, haven't really done any sort of sport since then)

What are you trying to achieve with it? Weight loss or improved fitness or fixing your quad strength?

(b/c for your quads you'd be better off doing squats)

    Good meat.
    +1 for Bish hugs
    -2 for ruining harli's night
    8/10
