Company Of Heroes 2 Will Make You A Russian Commander Fighting Nazis

Rumours have been hot and heavy that THQ would be announcing a sequel to hit PC strategy title, Company of Heroes. Today, the beleaguered publisher’s done exactly that.

As hinted by the vintage newspaper page we showed last week, the sequel to the 2006 game will focus on the WWII battles between Nazi Germany and Stalinist Russia, with players commanding the Red Army. Developed by Relic Entertainment, Company of Heroes 2 is scheduled for release in early 2013.

  • I would have thought Germany would have been the best ones to play on the eastern frount. Nice easy tutorial on the way to Moscow followed by a brutal fight for survival on the way back.

    • Hopefully they follow an Opposing Fronts style campaign with both factions. In vanilla CoH a Wermacht campaign was sorely missed, but the expansion offered both.

Sadly with THQ in the position it is in I suspect they will be pushing Relic to release and I don’t think the will offer two campaigns. As long as they don’t skimp on the multiplayer which made this game so awesome I’ll be happy.

  • I wonder if they hired the guys who made the ‘Company of Heroes: Eastern Front’ mod to help make Company of Heroes 2?
