Deus Ex? I'd Buy That For A Dollar (And 99 Cents)

Greenman Gaming is currently running a deal, taking 75% off Square Enix games. Do like Deus Ex? Do you like money, and the saving of said money? Well, this is the deal for you my brethren.

There are some truly mighty deals in the offering for this sale.

Conflict: Denied Ops — $3.24 Deus Ex: GOTY — $1.99 Deus Ex: Invisible War — $1.99 Hitman: Codename 47 — $2.49 Tomb Raider: Anniversary — $2.48

So, just in case you didn't play these games first time round, or you want some more 'things' to chuck upon that giant digital pile of shame you've been gathering, these bargains are worth a look.

I think I'll stick with the memories. They're usually better when it comes to this type of thing.

Nope. I ain't buying any more games until I finish the ones I already have!...

*resists the urge to get credit card and buy all of these games* Help!

Actually, credit cards are made out of plastic. So frankly speaking I am going to go do some gardening and redeem whatever constitutional renditions of corporate liability within the existential realm of Disney's rather unflattering Absaloms.

Do not buy Deus Ex: Invisible War. It's bad. The original is awesome.
Also Hitman for $2.49 Hell Yes!

Invisible War is a great game. Awesome music and good story. Got me into the Kidneythieves which means it can't be crap.
Is it as good as the first, definitely not, but the first game is right up in my top 5 games.
It is either missing some things from 1 that were great or has reduced how much the player can do with them. But I do like the mod system in 2.

Do I miss having all the different ammo types? Not as much as I should.

I just hated that if you ran out of ammo while going crazy with some high powered weapon you couldn't switch out to something smaller when you were done, really stopped you from having fun with the heavy weapons :(

Actually both are good. That said, invisible war is probably the most decisive game of all time.

      I think you mean divisive.
It was an important game, and it was by no means bad, unless viewed in the harsh light of the original.

Most Deus Ex fans that claim Invisible War as terrible have actually played through it several times. In fact most of the things wrong with it are solved by:
    having a modern computer,
    downloading some rad graphics mods

Speaking of Deus Ex, I just finished Human Revolution on the weekend, Foxiest of the Hounds and Pacifist on first playthrough. First game I've really enjoyed in months.
How do you even pronounce Deus Ex anyway? What does it mean?

Its meant to be pronounced Day-us Ex but everyone I know even after being told still calls it Jew Sex.

I know how it is pronounced, I have no problem pronouncing Deus Ex Machina and I still only get Deus Ex correct about 80% of the time.

A deus ex machina (play /ˈdeɪ.əs ɛks ˈmɑːkiːnə/ or /ˈdiːəs ɛks ˈmækɨnə/ DAY-əs eks MAH-kee-nə;[1] Latin: "god from the machine"; plural: dei ex machina) is a plot device whereby a seemingly unsolvable problem is suddenly and abruptly solved with the contrived and unexpected intervention of some new event, character, ability, or object.

I guess just Deus Ex means God From...

I think my digital pile has now out grown my physical pile - damn you online convenience!

    Shameless plug

If you are feeling generous please use my referral code and we'll both get a $2 credit. (Applies to new accounts only)

Saving is the opposite of spending.

Very tempting but I've only beaten the first boss in Human Revolution and then I put that down to attend to more shameful shaming like finishing Half Life 2 and Halo 3! HR is awesome fun though and people tell me the original is better so...

Deus Ex Invisible War for $1.99?

It's sales like this that annoy the hell out of me. I already have a backlog of games to play. I DON'T NEED MORE YOU ANNOYING PUBLISHERS!!!!!........

    *sigh* where's my wallet.......
