Get A Whole Bunch Of Classics For Cheap In The Mother Of All Indie Game Sales

Indie game developers get it: people don’t have a lot of money these days. And while they’d love to sell their creations at full price, it’s given that a lower-priced offering will get people to try games like Canabalt or World of Goo out and come back to try out even more titles.

That’s why a bunch of developers — including 2D Boy, Gaijin Games, Double Fine and more are — have gotten together for the Because We May sale, which offers titles like Zen Bound 2, Psychonauts and Darwinia for cut-rate prices. You can browse lists of games available on iOS, Android, pC and Mac platforms for great bargains. Seriously, if there’s an indie game that’s been worth a damn in the last few years, it’s probably on this list.

The sale goes until June 1 so head on over to the sale’s official site and get to work building a great library of independently create games.

Because We May

  • The prices aren’t that impressive, you are better off waiting for a steam sale to purchase them.

  • Its worth noting there are a bunch of ones on the iOS and “other” tabs reduced down to free. Some of them look pretty crap to be honest, but some actually look pretty good. Either way, you can’t beat free.

  • There’s some good stuff in there, and more keeps getting added.
The top of the list seems to be mostly old bundle stuff like World of Goo, but look further down for hidden treasures like Gunman Clive and Bean’s Quest (both $1 on Android, $2 on Desura), Great Little War Game ($1 – like a hex-based 3D Advance Wars for Android), Dino Run (and the Space Rubbish bundle if you look at the dev’s site), etc.
