This TARDIS Case Is Not Actually Bigger On The Inside

Sadly, this TARDIS has to obey the laws of physics as we humans know them. It only travels one direction in time: forward, at a rate of one day per day. Its volume on the inside is exactly as indicated by its dimensions on the outside. And there's no Time Lord pouncing about all of creation inside of it.

But despite those shortcomings, these Doctor Who-inspired cases are still gorgeous. Entirely crafted from aluminium and the perfect shade of TARDIS blue, these cases do manage to hold some power in their depths, in the form of an Intel I5 quad-core processor. The Blu-Ray drive is hidden behind the front "police box" sign.

I can't decide, though, whether it would be awesome or dreadful for it to make the TARDIS whirring sound on start-up and shutdown. On the one hand, it really sort of should. And on the other hand, in a confined space I think that's a little too similar to a grievous fan or drive malfunction for comfort.

Meanwhile, if you want to exterminate anyone, the designer's site has photos that hint at a dalek case in-progress.

TARDIS [TechPowerUp]

As someone who fixes computers for a living, those insides look too functional NOT to have issues.

On the other hand, if someone ever brings one in, I might have to have the warranty "checked"

    I... want.

It looks a little snug in there though, I'd want a larger one so there was more breathing space for components.

Want! But where are the air intakes and exhaust? PC would melt...

Yes please! Include a screwdriver that turns it on and I'm soooold. that will work on it

    Oh, it's a *PC* case.

Here I was thinking they were just a bunch of containers. Stupid half-written article.

"these cases do manage to hold some power in their depths, in the form of an Intel I5 quad-core processor. The Blu-Ray drive is hidden behind the front “police box” sign."

      That didn't give it away?

What, you mean that tiny little bit that's two thirds of the way through the article?

Great IP theft. Dalek cases - does the estate of Terry Nation get anything???

i want although i dont think my gtx 580 dcuii would fit

I would want a bigger case, and also one that didn't already have a computer stuffed into it, I want to install my own guts. Wish I was good at metal work :(

I'm here trying to understand how the pieces are organized inside of it

I found this PC at another site, bit I want to just buy just the cabinet. Is that possible? The other site was advertising it as a complete computer for almost 1000 quid, but I have stuff just laying around from other computers I've built including an extra ASUS Sabertooth Z77 Thermal Armour 1155 slot with matching Intel Pentium i7-3770K mounted with the best ‘be quiet!’ fan that fits on that mobo, without blocking access to any of the slots, along with 4 x 8Gb RAM cards, and a 700W Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGB Gold Power Supply, which is all exponentially better that what they are selling this PC with. Please!!!! Put the cabinet on the market as a stand-alone item.
