What Are You Listening To?

We don't always have to talk about games, do we? Today I'm really keen to hear what music you're listening to...

At this precise moment, this is my favourite song in the world, closely followed by this track.

It has to be said though, that I'm boring and lazy when it comes to looking for music. I just look up Metacritic. I know, I'm the worst!

What are you guys listening to?

    Oh shut up.

..all these years trying to forget, and
This Is How You Remind Me?

You were thinking, "Never Again" would you hear that rubbish, but deep down you knew Someday it would strike you, right when you thought you were Feelin' Way Too Damn Good.

I just watched The Prestige (I went Nolan crazy after the last DKR trailer came out) and the Thom Yorke song at the end got me back into his solo album.

I'm currently doing my work (and procastinating on Kotaku) with an album by Metric playing in the background. They have a new album out next month and its got me revisiting their older albums again.

(Wow, I tried to write something like 'I don't know if anyone here has heard of Metric before' but it came across as sounding so smug...just know that Metric is awesome, people!)

Metric are awesome, I'm looking forward to their new album! Although I think 'Fantasies' is their best album to date.

Fantasies is amazing. Not a track on it that I would skip over.

YEAH! fantasies is one of my favourite albums of all time. Got tickets for july I'm so pumped!! Other than that I always have Bat for Lashes on repeat

I love my soundtrack music! Have you heard of this movie?

brutal death metal that gives children nightmares.

Im a big fan of the Electric scene atm.
Mord Fustang is on repeat on my ipod and Porter Robinson. Another one is KOAN sound and Kill the Noise, also a big fan of Feed Me.

Mord Fustang just happens to be playing on Thursday in Adelaide so a seedy Friday it shall be.

You seem to like your complextro. If I may make a suggestion, take a look at James Egbert. His new EP is fantastic.

Having high school flashbacks, dug out some old offspring.

Right now I have Sleipnir by Manowar playing. :)

I'm listening to some Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas (No, not the movie. There's a band called that too...)

...nor the book that the movie was based on.

Brothers in Arms by Dire Straits is playing, volume maxed out. Incredible, atmospheric song. Loved it since I heard it on The West Wing a long while back...

Kendrick Lamar is owning me right now

Dead Letter Circus, and gearing up for The Butterfly Effect gig this weekend, booyeah!

I like your music taste good sir. Really bummed out I can't go to the TBE show, won't be the same without Clint

Yeah, I feel the same, way. There are some amazing Aussie' bands out there, I'm sure your looking forward to new Karnivool as much as I am! "=D

Yeah definitely, I really want to get my hands on their new DVD when it comes out. I hope it is not as long a wait as it was between Themata and Sound Awake

just discovered these guys today but i can't buy their album until my new credit card arrives! grrr..

    Tron Legacy OST! \o/

    Current record playlist-
    Jus†ice - †

Right this very second I'm listening to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p47fEXGabaY&feature=relmfu

Oh No! I've been Rick(y Martin) Rolled!

Right now? Vanna, their discography on shuffle.

      hell yeaaaaaaaaaah!

I've got the song "Squeeze" by Man like me stuck in my head.

But I've started listening to a lot of chiptunes/8-bit/game soundtrack stuff.

Rome by Danger mouse & Daniele Luppi. Best thing ever if you like spaghetti western type of music.

Iron Maiden, Metallica, In Flames, Trivium, Devildriver, Nightwish, Engel... Very hard job planning music for my wedding... Constantly listening to dozens of albums looking for suitable metal songs for a wedding!

Highly anticipating the release of Engel's Blood of Saints next week though!

I have a mix of Mastodon, In Flames, Killswitch Engage, Sevendust, Mudvayne and Tool going atm, helps the work day go by!

Love this list. And the Ace Ventura name XD

Arcade Fire - Wake Up, followed by Nightwish - Phantom of the Opera, followed by Animal Collective - Fireworks, followed by Blink 182 - All The Small Things... I have my playlist on shuffle, if I kept listing as I listened then I'd still be typing 10+ hours from now.

you must be a slow typer for a whole song to finish before you can type out it's name.

I get caught up in the music. :)

    At this moment,
Mass Effect 2 OST - Normandy Reborn

Wutang, Lupe, DPG and a bit of Stevie Wonder for good measure.
