Aussie Band Plays Halo Through The Ages

I'm always a little reluctant to post these 'band plays video game theme music' videos, because it seems as though YouTube is completely clogged with them, but I'll make an exception for this one — mainly because it's top quality and — apparently — the band is from Australia.

I'm also a big fan of the little bar along the top, which lets you know precisely what music from which specific game is being played. Nice production, and the sound is pretty top notch as well. Good job guys!

You can check out more of there stuff here.

Yes your right, so stop drawing attention to them & STOP POSTING THEM!

Never Forget is one of my favourites too. Worked perfectly as the credit music... so sad to think it was all over at the time :'(

The Halo 4 part is terrible. :(

I get that they're taking the H4 music in a new direction, without Marty obviously, but it reall lacks that distinctive sound. Expect people to forget it, it won't be nearly as recognisable as the previous soundtracks.
    Sadface.

This has been my opinion of the H4 soundtrack's direction since i heard it too. I mean there are still tracks left to hear, but even so, Halo has been characterized by the distinctive and recognizable themes and compositions of Martin O'donnel since the start,

The fact is, Halo's music -is- Martin O'Donnel. Removing his work from the game is almost like removing Cortana, or the chief, a pivotal piece of what made the story so impact-full, interesting and stunning and replacing it with something foreign and non-distinct.

The soundtrack to Halo 4 may be good, it may even be amazing, but at this point, it will never be remembered or associated with Halo like O'donnel's work is..."Never Forget"

I like the Halo 4 bit quite a lot actually. Maybe because I'm not much of a "played every game" sorta fan so I'm more emotionally removed. Also, I just think that it needs to change up every now and again, otherwise you have the same tune for every game. It's still in the same style IMHO, and just as distinctive, but it won't be recognisable for a while because it's a new game that hasn't even been released ;) Maybe I'm just biased though because I know one of the guys in the vid. Good to see they're getting some recognition!
