Community Kudos

It’s Friday. You know what that means. Community Kudos y’all!

I think it’s only appropriate that we open this week’s Kudos post with an awesome piece of news. Our very own Shane has just had another kid! Say hello to Liam Michael Walsh-Smith, born Tuesday June 19. Congrats Shane! Awesome news!

A lot of Liam Walsh-Smith related kudos! It all kicked off with this email from Zap!

Markypants III,

Nom – Shane’s wife. Baby.
Anti-nom – Shane. “You bastard why did you do this to me I’M GOING TO KILL YOU!!!!! Oooh. Baby!”

– Zap

Man, child birth. I’m so glad I don’t have to deal with it. Congrats go out to Mrs Shane as well!

Tigerion also dropped a nom for all “the doctors, nurses and medical staff who helped to bring our newest taybie, little Liam, into the world”.

DAW! Awesome nom Tigerion!

Actually it was good week for a lot of TAYbies. Jamie Watt seems to have the Potaku site up and running pretty smoothly. Love the pimpin’ logo where Jamie and Shiggy are sort of walking together like something out of Miami Vice.

YEEEEAAAAAAAAAH!

Tigerion also dropped this nom…

A joint nom for Jordi and Batgirl who both recieved good news, being an inspiration to us all as they showed us all that we can achieve our dreams if we perservere and make snarky twitter updates *cue sappy music*

Congrats to Batgirl for getting into USYD. I saw you stressing on twitter, so GREAT JOB GURL!

Tigerion also nommed Crazyguy1990 for gifting him a game on Steam.

And I actually received a nom email from the Crazyguy himself — a dual nomination for Lambo and NegativeZero for helping him out with his PC.

We also had a pre-emptive nom for Blaghman from Powalen, who is holding Canberra meat. Wish I could be there dudes and dudettes. Have fun. Powalen also nommed Masha for being generous enough to offer him tickets for an event in Sydney.

And speaking of generosity (sweet segue, rite gaiz?) I got this email from TheLastQuestion.

These are some belated noms for Trjn for hosting the Meaty Meat of Meatiness at his place the weekend before last. Sughly deserve a NOM for hatching the plan to see Cabin in the Woods last Saturday night, because it was AMAZEBALLS. But my ultra-mega-kudos-nom goes to DAN! for two reasons.

Firstly, he and his lovely partner gave me a lift to Trjn’s place for the Meat. Otherwise I would have had to carry a full Rock Band kit on the train which would have been made of crappy and sad.

Secondly, I accompanied DAN! and his lovely partner to see Prometheus on last Tuesday, and HE REFUSED TO LET ME PAY HIM FOR THE TICKET HE PURCHASED FOR ME.

I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE DAN! YOU WILL BE NOMMED!

This is awesome. Almost as awesome as this youtube video that I found after searching for George Benson!

SWAGGA.

And one last nom — one from Strange who nommed Zap “because Zap” and because he says things like “unintelligent ragedribbling”. As good a reason as any I reckon.

BUT WHAT IS THIS?

Last minutes noms just dropped into my inbox as I WAS WRITING MY CONCLUSION!

The first from Josh206.

It’s Joshy here, with some kudos to deestreebute.

First off, I’m going to send three quarters of a nomination to Lambomang, because now I know I’m not the youngest ’round these parts. [Actually Liam is technically the youngest TAYbie now 🙂 — Mark]

I’m gonna ship another batch of kudos off to Notorious, cos he’s a Monash buddy.

Also, give McGarnical my love in the forms of a red kudos. None of that blue kudos stuff.

And send some to Jimu, because he’s talked to me the most. I appreciate that.

And then perhaps my favourite nom email of the week…

Bish
Shane
Strange

Why? Reasons.

Awesome.

And congrats to SHANE who is the winner of this week’s Community Kudos. Actually I’m giving it to Shane’s wife, because Shane didn’t do anything!
