Guess Which Hotly Anticipated Games This Fancy Art Belongs To?

Long before the artwork in big-deal blockbuster games get turned into polygons or texture maps, it can start as pencil drawings or oil paintings. Dev studios use these pieces as inspiration to help them focus on the worlds they're trying to craft or look at them after the fact to remember where their creative journey started. I snapped pictures of four such pieces last week at E3 because it struck me how quiet and abstract the rendering were when compared to the games they're attached to.

You shouldn't need any clues to figure out the four upcoming games, as each art piece belongs to a game that thousands of people all over the world can't wait to get their hands on. They've all been covered on Kotaku, though, and some of them even netted some coverage during E3. That's probably not that much help. Sorry.

I dunno about the mountainside fortress, but the pillars are Halo, the broken highway is Last Of Us, and the red stairs are Dishonored, I reckon.

Good informative post. Are there any journalists out there who want to say which game they are from?

No idea... Possibly the warhammer 40k game

    The last of us

    Halo 4

    Dishonoured

Lost planet 3, Last of us, Halo 4 and Dishonored. 3 are Obvious but the ice fortress is hard i think its Lost planet 3 since it features Snow and that Fortress kinda looks Sci fy ish.

Dead Space 3 is just as plausible.

Guild Wars 2, Halo 4, The Last Of Us, and Dishonoured. Guild Wars was a little tricky, but I'm certain that's it.

Hey, they're all from here! Cheat sheet!

Dociu's (and teams) work is just so amazing it always stands out!

The Dig! Shane's gonna be so excited that it's finally coming out.
