I read that you control the hf blade by flicking the right stick…that was cool 10yrs ago in metal gear solid sons of liberty, but in 2012? No way thats the biggest copout, if this is the case im gutted, i was hoping.. Well expecting brutal combos like ninja gaiden and bayonetta but apparently not.. Its just foing to be a dumbed down cash cow for noobs.

I strongly disagree. I’ve been waiting ten years for a metal gear solid that u can wield a sword like this again, but for longer periods… Bout time really.
It appears that you do use the right stick to control the blade when you’re in the slow-motion, ‘select-where-you-cut’ sections, yes. But you’re attempting to compare an analogue control scheme that in reality gave you only two choices (cutting diagonally or cutting vertically) to a control scheme that will utilise various motions and button modifiers in what appears (based upon gameplay footage) to deliver a fairly varied combat experience with various combos and abilities.
I’d make the suggestion that you should have a look at some gameplay footage (also noting that the combat isn’t finalised) and making a informed judgement based upon that, rather than reading somewhere that the blade CAN be controlled with the right stick and writing the entire game off from a sentence. You may be surprised.
I eagerly await this software. & buddy, I dare say there will be more depth than “flicking the thumb stick” to the game play, RE: any Metal Gear game, take ur pick. This will be an exciting re imagining on the metal gear universe
@Erebus
Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t this being released in Oz in 2013? If so the R rating will be in effect by then. Plus, who buys locally anymore? I import virtually everything so our fascist censorship laws are absolutely irrelevant to me. Couldn’t care less lol. I used to get pissed off about it but nowadays I just laugh at how pointless the laws are.
