The Biggest Name In Teddy Bear Horror Returns Later This Year

When the bears of Perfect Island neglect to invite Naughty Bear to their island resort holiday, amazing advertising ensues. Oh, and a new Naughty Bear game coming to Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network later this year. But man, that advertising.

Seriously, browse through our coverage of the original Naughty Bear and you'll find some amazing, often nightmare-inducing videos touting a game that was ultimately OK. Now we've got Naughty Bear Panic in Paradise coming from 505 Games and Behaviour Interactive, and I couldn't be more excited for the ads the game will spawn.

Teddy bears, as it turns out, are pretty stupid. After Naughty Bear killed everything that moved because he wasn't invited to a birthday party, they don't invite him to their fantastic holiday on Paradise Island. So Naughty Bear makes a list. He's checking it twice, trying to find out who to bludgeon and slice. You can't use that bit, 505 Games. You can, however, use N.B. Fluff 'n Snuff.

I'm positively tingling with excitement over marketing. There's something wrong with me.

How does a piece of garbage like this get a sequel yet an awesome game like Beyond Good and Evil 2 remains in limbo? Dat gamez industry...

Because the company is determined to do it right. Michel Ancel said they're working on it and making sure it's a great game.

They lost my interest for this game by making the previous one.

Opinions are like nipples, everybody has one. Some have firm points, others are barely discernible through layers, and some are displayed at every opportunity regardless of whether the audience has stated "I am interested in your nipples" or not. Cats have nineteen.

Because more often than not, devs will learn from the mistakes of the first one and correct them. Notable example: Assassin's Creed. Notable exception: Kane & Lynch.

The idea behind Naughty Bear wasn't bad, so if they can fix the complaints AND it's a cheaper downloadable game, it could actually be a winner.

My wife will be thrilled. She still talks about the first one.

That's really weird, cause my friend's wife really enjoyed the first one and couldn't stop playing it.. haha

For how mediocre the first was it was pretty dam fun and clearly the idea of being a teddy bear murdering people sold just enough to warrant a sequel which will hopefully pull it from an ok game to a good game.
