      Amazing the difference when you push the back button, goes to show we definitely have rose tinted glasses when we talk about last gen game graphics. I was constantly pushing back just to see the different character and environment models.

      Fat chance, sadly. Even if they did, it would probably be limited to Windows 8, or 9 depending on when it’s released 😛

      Since PC has Halo 2 Vista and is not very popular i doubt they would see it as a worthy investment.

      Don’t get me wrong, i am mostly a PC player these days and i would love to see it, but it’s VERY unlikely to happen.

   There probably won’t be a PC release. Halo hasn’t been on PC since 2006. This is defiantly happening, it will come out next holidays and will be between Halo 4 and 5.

   I hope they do make a HD version. My first thought when finishing Halo CE Anniversary was that they now needed a rerelease of Halo 2.

   Not fussed. Anniversary was great because I adored Halo, but I felt the series took a distinct nose-dive with 2. The gameplay was great, the level design was great, dual wielding, etc … but level design was boring, the story was incomprehensible and I HATED playing as the Arbiter.
   I wouldn’t play a remake of Halo 2.

    but i agree with you i hated playing as the arbiter as well besides the story is all about the masterchief not thel vadam thats why i am really looking forward to halo 4

    I did a full playthrough of all the Halo games after Reach came out, kicking myself a bit for it now because I didn’t enjoy Anniversary as much as I could have (since I’d just finished the Xbox version again)…

    Hopefully they fix the co-op with Halo 2 I remember doing legendary co-op and whenever me or my brother regardless if one of us was still alive we both got sent to the last checkpoint it made it impossible to play it co-op due to the constant resetting.

    Really really hope that this is true. Halo 2 and Xbox1 Live is full of great memories 🙂

    The only thing that i would be annoyed about is if they got rid of the MP and threw in the Halo 4 engine with remakes or something. Hopefully that wont happen, because to have the original Halo 2 MP back would be awesome (and i don’t really count Halo 2V btw lol).

    That will be cool actually, the original trilogy (yeah i said it!) all on the 360, so I can play thru the campaign with my console challenged friend without stopping to explain every little plot point.

    I want this, only because then I can have all the Halo games on one console. As it stands 2 is the only one bound to the original Xbox, and I never got one of those.

       I bought an XBOX 360 last year specifically for Halo (have been playing the original Halo on a Mac for quite a few years). Halo 2 runs fine on the 360.

    If this is true then I will buy this. Definitely I will buy this. I will buy HD Halo 2. I will take out my money and exchange it for a copy of the aforementioned game. I will buy the hell out of this thing.

    Anniversary wasn’t good; the frame rate was all over the place. If a game can’t hit at least a steady 30 fps, then it’s not enjoyable IMO.

       The FPS for the most part was decent and very playable; sure there was dips here and there, but anyone who is a big enough fan of the game shouldn’t really care too much about that though for the fact it’s the same game we love with a fresh coat of paint

       If it someone who didn’t play the original much or at all, then i can understand why it would be annoying though.

    I haven’t played Halo 2 so this would be a definite grab for me, I also still have to get around to getting Anniversary. I still think it is important to play Halo 2 just to fill in that gap that is missing from my Halo experience.
