Wait wait wait. Zynga saying how gameplay should vary from game to game?

They also compared themselves to shakespear =\

The Xbox 360 was never good compared to PCs even when it came out. :\

    Technology-wise anyway.

That one about Phil Fish is amazing.

I think Fahey used to write for Kotaku, he does some good work.

No, that was Mike Fahey, and I think he still writes for Kotaku :P

“Xbox 360 isn’t so good anymore compared to PCs.” No shit Sherlock, someone get this guy a medal.

"Now Developers, get on that whole 'developing for PC' shit." "But... but... last year you told us PC was dead and console was king!" "Yeah, and yesterday I told your Mum I love her, but when I tell her to stop calling me today, I mean, stop calling me today."

Consoles still have an advantage. Everyone having the same specs means that games can be optimised highly, millions of people having the same console means big budget games can be optimised highly. Of course at the moment current gen consoles don't even "really" run games in 1080p, very few of them run games at 60 frames per second and the visuals are of course, pretty shit.

But when the *next* gen comes along, suddenly millions of people will have mini powerhouses next to their TVs, and Halo 5 is going to look amazing, Forza is going to look amazing and the rest of those big budget games are going to look amazing. They will run in 1080p this time too.

Current gen on all consoles is not at a good place compared to PCs or Macs at the moment, in terms of visuals, resolution, textures, objects on maps, map sizes, effects and such.

Nah. Charging $40,000 just to upload a patch-file onto Live is just ridiculous.

Don't care. Phil Fish is an asshole. 1. He blatantly told an entire fanbase that what they love sucks (I don't really like Japanese games nowadays either but I'm not a dick about it), and 2. he told everyone that gamers are the worst people, after being an absolute dick to them. 3. After everyone asked why he didn't put his stupid game onto Steam instead of XBL, he created that idiotic statement about PCs being for spreadsheets and not gaming.

      He's an ass.

Yet when Jonathon Blow (Braid, The Witness), or Keiji Inafune (of Capcom / Megaman fame) say the same thing with regards to modern Japanese games, nobody makes a big deal about it other than generally agreeing with their points.

Thing is, they didn't follow up by calling gamers "the worst fucking people" and then deliberately try to piss them off.

Its kinda true. And there are ALOT of buggier games out there made by "professional", non-indie companies...*coughBethesdacough*

Bethesda attempts to fix them though he's flat out refusing to.

A bigger offense when you release only to a platform that can't allow user fixes
